Student/Researcher Grants - ISMEG2016

    We are pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor two S4SLIDE grants ($500 each) for students/young researchers so that they can attend ISMEG2016. All our S4SLIDE grantees need to go through a standardized application process that is very simple.

Application Instructions:

    These grants are intended to provide partial financial support to students and early career researchers/lecturers to attend the International Symposium on Marine Engineering Geology (ISMEG2016) 21-23 October, 2016, Qingdao, China. Grantees will present their work as part of the "Regional engineering geology & Offshore geohazards" and/or the “Marine engineering geological survey technology and data analysis” session(s) which are co-organized by ISMEG2016 and IGCP-640 (S4SLIDE). Grantees will be responsible to secure additional funding for travel and accommodation arrangements.

Special conditions/considerations:

  1. Priority will be given to students and participants from developing countries (proof of student status will be requested).

  2. Student or participant must be the 1st author of a complete research paper.

  3. Student or participant must attend the conference and present his/her work before reimbursement can be processed.

  4. The successful grantees will be selected by the Student Grant Committee from the applicants that fulfill the previous conditions.

  5. Grantees will be expected to acknowledge in their presentation S4SLIDE, UNESCO, and IGCP.

  6.   7. The title of the email must be “S4SLIDE/AGU grant application”, the email should contain your abstract, affiliation, information about your degree or academic position and a 2 page CV. The deadline for application submission is September 1th 2016 . 

  8. If you have already submitted an abstract for the conference and you are also eligible to apply for one of the available grants, please send us an email with your name and the title of your research paper.
